So here’s what’s up: I have a friend, let’s just call him 30 (pronounced: three-oh) who, despite being very well-informed and very much a part of the current day world, has yet to adapt to the mobile device that we affectionately know as a, “cellular telephone” (or “cellie” if you’re an a-hole).

How does that affect him? It doesn’t.

How does it affect his friends*, such as myself? They feel awkward calling his house to speak with him, find it difficult to coordinate plans with him and passed 8:00pm on most nights it makes him close to unreachable. Of course 90% of the texts I send to him would be useless information… but it’s the principle.

This site will one day be full of text messages that I would have liked to have sent to him but was unable to. Want to join in on the fun? Twitter me @idtexttobojan and I’ll keep a collection of write-ins. What’s that you say, you don’t have Twitter? Well then maybe if we’re good enough friends I’ll start a web-page for you called “Things I’d Twitter To ” and complain about how you’re out of touch with technology too.

* In all honesty, most people probably have zero issues contacting 30, and I don’t really have that many issues but just wish he had a cellphone and hope to show what he’s missing out on. The likely outcome? A high percentage of these messages prove the exact opposite – he’s not missing out on anything and if he did have a cellphone I would end up annoying him.
